How we Work
Professional dog people, not just dog lovers.
Everyone on the team works hands-on with dogs every single day, backed by the trainers and behaviour specialists of Platinum K9. Nervous first-timers, reactive dogs, dogs with medical needs, raw-fed diets — nothing here is unusual to us, because we've cared for it all before.
Staff live on site here in Southwell, so your dog is never alone overnight. And because the same small team handles every part of the day — feeding, exercise, cleaning, cuddles — your dog sees familiar faces from breakfast to lights out. It's why owners travel to us from Newark, Nottingham and right across Nottinghamshire, and why so many dogs arrive as first-timers and come back as regulars.

Before your dog's first stay, we go through their routine with you in detail, so their week with us feels as close to home as possible:

- Any medication, supplements or health conditions
- How they are with other dogs, people and handling
- Their quirks — the toy they love, the word for "walkies", what settles them
- Your vet's details and emergency contacts
